2 is probably the most universally disliked / not enjoyable FF game across the fandom (if you disregard whatever the last FF release was at any given time since everyone hates whatever that is and then years later will tell you it was actually good and they always thought that). Never managed to get far in 2 myself.
Yeah I don't blame you, it was a tedious drag to get to the end of this one nevermind platinum it. I hope I never see that leveling system in another game again, fuck me it was bad. Story was just really shallow, characters were entirely forgettable except for maybe Ricard who I enjoyed. Firion had a nice design but I couldn't tell you anything about who he was or why he was doing what he was doing, Maria included. Don't get me started on Guy and Leon.
