Watching The Cabin In the Woods with a friend rn. It's actually a pretty decent movie imo. I like how it's so much like any classic horror movie yet still uniqe at the same time.

Watched S2E1 of The Last Of Us. Show AND game spoilers below
I am apprehensive. Quite a few deviations from the show, not least revealing Abby and her crew RIGHT at the start of the episode, immediately revealing their motives and goals. Between that and them really driving home the rift between Joel and Ellie, it proper feels like they're trying to avoid the backlash they received in 2020 and properly priming the casual audience for Joel's death. Personally prefer the mystery and suddenness from the way the game did it.
![]()

Been watching Black Mirror Season 7. Quite good so far, I like Plaything and Eulogy the most so far. Peter Capaldi is great as ever in Plaything and the actor playing the younger version of him was great too. Seeing the PC Zone magazine makes me nostalgic (I see it's featured in Black Mirror a bunch because Charlie Brooker worked there back in the day). I also see they actually made the Thronglets game for real and you can download to it from the app store to play it on your phone.
Eulogy actually made me cry at the end. I just felt heartbroken for him. Paul Giamatti is brilliant, no surprise there.

Finally watched Heretic last night. Enjoyed it, the three leads are all great, especially given it's such an intimate setting and setup. Not sure it's something I'll ever really feel like watching again but a well made movie.

I was really sceptical going into this season that it wouldn't just be absolutely insufferable, considering how disappointing the last season was IMO, but Peter Capaldi is such a fun presence on-screen that it got me itching to rewatch his seasons of Doctor Who lmao. ![]()

Has anyone watched Netflix Devil May Cry? I thought it was super good, as someone who’s only played one or two games but never finished them.

Watched Seven and Catch Me If You Can. Both movies that I feel I must have watched in the past as I remembered the last portions of them but I don't really actively remember seeing the whole lot of. Seven I remember less of, but I think it is just such a well crafted movie for so many reasons. Never really realised how much it feels like The Batman drew from it, and inversely felt like it used Blade Runner for inspiration for one section in particular too.

First 2 eps of Andor season 2
I was really excited for this and it's mostly really good. The subplot with the hungry scavenger dudes in the jungle was a bit annoying though

Saw Sinners. Really good, enjoyed it a lot. Wouldn't call it the greatest movie of all time like some are acting like it is but I'll definitely be watching it again when it releases on 4K.

I watched The Mist with Thomas Jane tonight.
I already had the ending spoiled for me years ago but it still fucked me up
